In July 2011, Pine Belt Cars — the family-owned automotive group founded by Leon Sickel in Lakewood, NJ in 1937 and currently led by David Sickel, Chairman and CEO of the Group, and Rob Sickel, Dealer Principal — stepped forward as the sponsor for the arena at Toms River High School North, signing a commitment to the Toms River Regional School District and the student athletes, performers, and community members who fill that building year after year.
For five years, the arena carried the Pine Belt name — visible on one of Ocean County’s most recognized public venues, in the heart of a community that Pine Belt Cars has served for generations. Pine Belt’s dealerships on Route 88 in Lakewood sit minutes from Toms River, and the families who shop, service, and connect with Pine Belt Cars are the same families whose children compete, graduate, and gather at that arena.
