Pine Belt Cares is the community outreach and charitable giving initiative of Pine Belt Cars. For nearly ninety years, Pine Belt Cars has supported healthcare, education, youth organizations, first responders, veterans, and nonprofit organizations throughout Ocean and Monmouth Counties and the Jersey Shore.
Through Pine Belt Cares, Pine Belt Cars partners with local organizations, supports charitable initiatives, sponsors community programs, and invests in projects that strengthen the communities where our customers and employees live and work.
That commitment has been carried forward by three generations of the Sickel family — from Leon Sickel, who founded Pine Belt Cars on Route 88 in Lakewood in 1937, to his son David, to his grandson Robert, who leads the organization today. Some of those relationships span decades. Some carry the Pine Belt name on buildings where students compete, patients heal, and families gather.

Through Pine Belt Cares, Pine Belt Cars has built one of its deepest and most sustained community relationships with Monmouth Medical Center — an RWJBarnabas Health facility serving patients across Ocean and Monmouth Counties from its Lakewood, NJ campus.
That commitment spans more than three decades and is led today by Robert Sickel, President, Pine Belt Enterprises, who serves as Chairman of the MMCSC Foundation Board and as a member of the MMC/MMCSC Board of Trustees. His father, David Sickel, served before him and remains an Emeritus member of the Foundation.
In 2022, Monmouth Medical Center named its Outpatient Infusion Unit the Pine Belt Family Infusion Center — where patients receive chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other life-saving infusions every day, close to home in Lakewood, NJ. Pine Belt Subaru reinforces that commitment annually through the Subaru Loves to Care program, partnering with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to deliver blankets and comfort kits directly to patients at the Center.
