Regular oil changes are one of the most important services you can perform for your Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, or Ram vehicle. Engine oil performs four critical functions: it lubricates moving components to reduce friction, cools engine parts by carrying heat away, cleans by trapping dirt and contaminants, and protects against corrosion and premature wear.
As oil degrades, it thickens, forms sludge, and becomes less effective. The result is increased friction, reduced fuel economy, reduced performance, and over time, engine wear that becomes costly to repair.
For newer Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram vehicles, change your oil and filter when the “Oil Change Due” message appears in your instrument cluster. Once this alert displays, schedule service within the next 500 miles.
Most current CJDR vehicles average around 7,500 miles between oil changes under normal driving conditions. Never exceed 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first.
Driving habits that shorten oil change intervals include frequent stop-and-go city driving with extended idling, towing or hauling heavy loads, driving in extreme heat or cold or on dusty roads, and hilly or mountainous terrain.
Most modern Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram vehicles require synthetic oil due to advanced engine designs. Your exact oil type — viscosity, specification, and capacity — depends on your model year, engine, and vehicle platform. Always refer to the Technical Specifications section of your Owner’s Manual, or let our Express Lane technicians look it up for you.
Express Lane oil changes use Pennzoil and Mopar OEM-specified oil matched to your vehicle. The oil filter is replaced with every oil change.
Mopar recommends checking your oil level monthly and before long trips. The correct procedure: park on level ground, wait 5–10 minutes after shutting off the engine, locate the dipstick, remove and wipe clean, reinsert fully, remove again, and check the level against the crosshatch safe zone markings. Maintain the level within the crosshatch range.
Signs your oil may be running low between changes include decreased performance, reduced fuel economy, engine noise or overheating, blue or gray exhaust smoke, or a burning oil smell.
For complete oil type, viscosity, and capacity specifications for your vehicle, see the Technical Specifications section of your Owner’s Manual or visit mopar.com.
Tire pressure and condition directly affect your vehicle’s safety, fuel economy, handling, and tire life. Both too-low and too-high pressure cause problems.
Pressure too low: Poor fuel economy, reduced cornering precision, and accelerated tread wear. Under severe conditions, risk of tire blowout.
Pressure too high: Reduced traction, harsher ride, and increased risk of damage from road hazards.
The correct tire pressure for your vehicle is listed on the sticker inside your driver’s door jamb and in your Owner’s Manual — not on the tire sidewall, which shows maximum pressure, not recommended pressure.
During every Express Lane visit, our technicians check all four tires for pressure and tread condition. Tread should be replaced when wear indicators — built into the tread grooves — are flush with the outer tread surface.
For your vehicle’s recommended tire pressure specifications, see the driver’s door jamb sticker or Owner’s Manual.
Your vehicle has two filters that affect air quality — one for the engine, one for the cabin.
Engine air filter: Protects the engine from dust, dirt, and debris that can cause internal wear. A clogged engine air filter restricts airflow, reduces combustion efficiency, and decreases fuel economy and power. Replacement intervals vary by vehicle and driving conditions — dusty or unpaved roads require more frequent changes. See your Owner’s Manual for the recommended interval.
Cabin air filter: Filters the air that circulates through your vehicle’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system, capturing dust, pollen, and other particles. A clogged cabin air filter reduces HVAC airflow and can contribute to musty odors inside the cabin. If you’ve noticed reduced airflow from your vents or a musty smell when running the AC, the cabin air filter may be due for replacement.
Both filters are available for inspection and replacement during Express Lane visits.
For replacement intervals specific to your model, see your Owner’s Manual or ask your Express Lane technician.
Chassis lubrication — also called a lube service — applies grease to the suspension joints, steering components, and other chassis points that require periodic lubrication to prevent wear, corrosion, and binding.
Not all vehicles have serviceable grease fittings. Some newer vehicles use sealed joints that do not require periodic lubrication. Our technicians check your vehicle’s chassis lubrication requirements and service the applicable points during your Express Lane visit.
Skipping chassis lubrication on vehicles that require it leads to accelerated wear of ball joints, tie rod ends, and other steering and suspension components — components that are significantly more expensive to replace than the cost of routine lubrication.
Check your Owner’s Manual or ask your Express Lane technician whether your vehicle has serviceable chassis lubrication points.
Wiper blades wear out gradually and often go unnoticed until visibility in rain or snow is already compromised. Signs that replacement is needed include streaking, skipping, squeaking, or visible deterioration of the rubber blade.
Pine Belt CDJR Express Lane replaces wiper blades using Mopar OEM or equivalent parts sized for your specific vehicle. Front and rear wipers are both available.
Note: Wiper replacement is for non-warranty items. See service advisor for details.
Each tire position on your vehicle wears differently based on its location, the weight distribution of the vehicle, and how you drive. Front tires on front-wheel drive vehicles wear faster due to the combined demands of steering and power delivery. Regular rotation — typically every 5,000–7,500 miles — equalizes wear across all four tires, extending their usable life and maintaining balanced handling.
Several factors affect how quickly tires wear unevenly: weight differences between front and rear axles, mechanical issues such as misalignment, and driving habits including turning radius.
Every tire rotation at Pine Belt CDJR includes a brake system inspection. Our technicians check pad thickness, rotor condition, brake lines, and hoses during the rotation. Warning signs that brake service may be needed include squealing, chirping, grinding, shaking when stopping, or brake pedal pulsation.
Tire rotation may not be recommended for all models. See your Owner’s Manual for guidance.
Every Express Lane visit includes a complimentary multipoint inspection covering the key systems and components of your vehicle. Here is what our FCA Certified technicians check:
Oil level and oil change indicator status reviewed.
All four tires checked for tread depth, wear pattern, and inflation.
Front and rear wiper operation and condition; windshield inspected for cracks or chips.
Coolant, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and other reservoirs checked.
Brake lines, hoses, and parking brake inspected; front and rear lining measurements taken.
Battery health, power level, and terminal connections tested and noted.
Critical systems and components checked for visible leaks or damage.
You leave knowing the full condition of your vehicle, not just the item you came in for.

Your vehicle depends on multiple fluids to operate correctly. Our Express Lane technicians check and top off the following during every visit:
Engine coolant: Regulates engine temperature. Low or degraded coolant leads to overheating. Mopar recommends Mopar Antifreeze/Coolant 10 Year/150,000 Mile OAT (Organic Additive Technology) Formula for Ram 2500 and 3500 models. Other CJDR models have their own coolant specifications — see your Owner’s Manual.
Brake fluid: Hydraulic fluid that transmits braking force through the brake lines. Contaminated or low brake fluid directly affects stopping performance. See the dedicated Brake Inspection section for warning signs.
Windshield washer fluid: The simplest check on the list and among the most overlooked.
Power steering fluid (where applicable): Maintains steering response and protects the pump.
Fluid specifications vary by model and engine. For exact coolant type, brake fluid specification, and capacity for your vehicle, see your Owner’s Manual.
Battery failure is one of the leading causes of vehicle breakdowns. A battery can test healthy and fail without warning — particularly in extreme heat or cold — which is why periodic testing matters even when the vehicle is starting normally.
During every Express Lane visit, our technicians perform a battery test to assess health and remaining capacity. If the battery is approaching end of life or showing weakness, we will tell you clearly and let you decide how to proceed before any replacement is authorized.
Mopar replacement batteries are available and match the Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) and Reserve Capacity specifications for your specific vehicle.
Warning signs that your battery may be failing include slow or labored engine cranking, dashboard lights dimming when starting, frequent need to jump start, or a battery warning light on the dashboard.
Battery testing excludes hybrid and electric vehicle high-voltage battery systems. See service advisor for details on electrified model battery service.
Exterior lighting — headlamps, tail lights, turn signals, brake lights, and reverse lights — affects both your visibility and how other drivers see you. A burned-out brake light or turn signal is both a safety hazard and a traffic violation.
Pine Belt CDJR Express Lane replaces non-warranty exterior bulbs during your visit. Our technicians check all exterior lighting during the multipoint inspection and can replace failed bulbs on the same visit.
Note: Headlamp replacement may be excluded depending on vehicle and bulb type. Non-warranty replacements only. See service advisor for details.
Trained directly by the manufacturer on Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram vehicles — not general automotive technicians applying generic procedures to your specific vehicle.
The same parts used to build your vehicle. Aftermarket alternatives may not meet the fit, material, and performance specifications of original components.
Oil type, viscosity, and capacity are confirmed for your specific model, year, and engine before every change. No guesswork, no generic fill.
Our service system tracks your vehicle’s service history, allowing technicians to confirm what was done last and what is due next.
Express Lane is your entry point. If the multipoint inspection identifies something beyond Express Lane scope — brake service, diagnostics, a recall — our full service department is right here.

Change your oil when the “Oil Change Due” message appears in your instrument cluster — then schedule within 500 miles. Under normal driving conditions, most CJDR vehicles average around 7,500 miles between changes. Never exceed 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. Severe driving conditions — frequent towing, stop-and-go traffic, extreme temperatures — may require shorter intervals.
The red oil pressure warning — shaped like an old-fashioned oil can — is a critical safety warning requiring immediate attention. Pull over as soon as it is safe to do so, shut off the engine, and check the oil level. Do not continue driving. Ignoring this warning can result in severe engine damage. This is different from the amber oil change maintenance reminder, which simply indicates service is due.
