Not all oil is the same, and not all Chevrolet engines have the same requirements.
Pine Belt Chevrolet’s Certified Service technicians are trained to match the correct oil type, grade, and quantity to your specific Chevrolet model — and to inspect the systems that depend on clean oil to function correctly. Every oil change includes a complimentary multi-point inspection and tire rotation.

Pine Belt Chevrolet offers three oil types to match your vehicle’s requirements and your preferences:
Formulated to protect your engine against high-temperature deposits and reduce engine wear. The baseline option for older vehicles or those not requiring full synthetic.
GM’s specified full synthetic oil for most current Chevrolet models. Resists varnish and sludge buildup that can affect engine performance over time. dexos®1 is the oil grade GM recommends for the majority of current Chevrolet cars, trucks, and SUVs.
Advanced anti-wear technology providing outstanding protection for critical engine components. Available as an alternative full synthetic option.
Our Certified Service advisors will confirm which oil type and grade is correct for your specific model and year. If you’re unsure, bring in your vehicle or call us and we’ll look it up.
Most current Chevrolet vehicles are equipped with the GM Oil Life System (OLS) — a monitoring system that tracks actual engine conditions including temperature, RPM, and load to calculate when an oil change is needed. The OLS has made the old 3,000-mile rule obsolete for most Chevrolet vehicles.
Our technicians reset the OLS after every oil change. If your OLS light is on, or if you’re not sure of your last service interval, contact our service department and we’ll advise you.
Running low on oil between changes causes wear that oil changes cannot reverse. Chevrolet recommends checking your oil level regularly — pull the dipstick, wipe clean, reinsert fully, check the level against the min/max marks.
Every Chevrolet oil change at Pine Belt includes a complimentary multi-point vehicle inspection — tires, wiper blades, fluid levels, brakes, battery, OnStar connection, and additional systems. See the full inspection checklist on our Chevrolet Service Center page.
Your Owner’s Manual specifies the correct oil type and grade for your engine. Most current Chevrolet vehicles require dexos®1 Full Synthetic. Our Certified Service advisors confirm the right oil for your model at every visit — you don’t need to look it up yourself.
Chevrolets equipped with the GM Oil Life System will alert you when it’s time. The system monitors actual driving and engine conditions rather than a fixed mileage interval. If your vehicle doesn’t have OLS, follow the interval in your Owner’s Manual. When in doubt, call us.
Yes. A clogged or degraded filter reduces the oil’s ability to circulate cleanly through the engine. Pine Belt Chevrolet replaces the oil filter with every oil change as standard practice.
